Steve & Sara go way back with Darrell & I – like middle school way back. They started dating way after high school, kind of like we did, so it was fun to hang out with them with that in common. So when they finally got engaged I was super happy when they asked us to spend the day with them. I had no idea what they were planning though, it was amazing! There were flowers Everywhere. I mean everywhere. Orchids made most beautiful backdrop for the ceremony in the courtyard at Henry Ford’s Lovett Hall. They are so clearly in love, and I think you can see it in the photos.
As many times as I have shot at Grosse Pointe Yacht Club this was my first time shooting a ceremony inside the club. The room they have for it is just beautiful, there are so many different options for set up there. The light was so beautiful and the sunset…. I have no words, it speaks for itself! Emma & Zak were a blast to shoot, especially on the dance floor when Zak pulled out some sweet moves.
We really couldn’t have asked for a better better weather for Steve & Diana’s august wedding. On top of that they look and pose like models, we got to explore a new location for me – Stony Creek Metropark – and we had tons of time for photos. After their Greek ceremony we took full advantage of the fields and lakes and took so many gorgeous photos. This is just a taste 🙂
